Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB)

The Lambton Kent District School Board provides educational services to more than 22,000 students in 64 elementary and secondary schools. Our district is made up of numerous small towns and communities situated in Southwestern Ontario, a picturesque geographic area surrounded by the Great Lakes. We are located in the proximity of large cities, 2.5 hours south of Toronto and only an hour drive to Detroit. The programs provided for international students include:

  • Academic programs from Grade 4 to Grade 12
  • English Second Language programs (all levels; from 10 to 21 years of age)
  • Specialist High School Major and Dual Credit program to a selected number of international students
  • French Immersion program
  • Short-term classroom immersion programs offered

International Students choose to study with the Lambton Kent District School Board because it:

International students will experience the unconditional support of our program staff and the genuine hospitality of Canadian home stay families. Our staff will help guide students in their academic program, studies, introduce them to local students and encourage them to join after-school activities.

Entrance Dates: While we can accept continuous intake for short term students. Students wishing to receive credits should be here to start their classes in September or February.

Application Deadlines: We encourage students wishing to begin their studies with us in September to apply by June 1, 2016 and students wishing to begin their studies with us in February to apply by November 1, 2016 but if we have school and homestay space we are happy to welcome late applicants.

Full Year Tuition Fee: $12,840 CAD Secondary & $11,480 CAD for elementary

1 Semester Tuition Fee: $6,420 CAD

Annual Homestay Placement Fee: $500

Homestay Monthly Fee: $850

Annual Health Insurance Fee: Included in tuition

Annual Custodianship Fee: Not Applicable
